About Me
Hello, My name is Nelson. I'm not new to this hobby, it's been in my blood since I was born. I used to model the LNER, and still do but not a lot. My main interests now are the NCC (Northern Counties Committee), UTA (Ulster Transport Authority) and NIR (Northern Ireland Railways). Modelling Irish railways, is a bit more expensive than normal, so I like to scratch build where possible. You may be thinking that because I'm only young, I had some one else do the work for me, but I haven't (honest) all my models were either built or painted by myself. Now I'm not an expert in any way, but I think that i am getting better with every model. If you want to see examples of my work, here is a link, go near the bottom, and you will see what I mean when I say I progress with every model I build/paint/line etc.... http://www.rmweb.co....ir-stock/page-3 If your still reading this, then I would like to say thank you for taking the time to read this. And if you have any questions please feel free to PM me. Many thanks Nelson |

About Me
Hi anyone bored enough to read this!
Well... I'm 13 and from Warrington. I model 00 gauge modern image on the west coast mainline. I have 2 layouts, the first a brand new build layout called Parkway Engineers yard and wagon repair depot, and I'm overhauling my old roundy roundy layout which I haven't come up with a name for yet. It's multi era layout mostly based in Warrington set in about 2003 with my other layout being current scene... I like my GMs (sorry!) especially my class 57s, the only GM that can scream. I also like the 37, 47, 56, 60... For electrics I do like my 92s. But I am an AC 'leccy fan and like my 86s and 87 and 90s are nice too... In other words the full fleet of UK electrics! Units the 158, 323 and Pendolino are my favourite units as well as the 221, just lost all credibility as a trainspotter. I have more layout plans than there is space at the NEC so I don't think I'll ever build all of them, my favourite plans are a small terminus station and to model a stretch of the west coast mainline in 00, although that will probably not happen for a long, long time. Still when I do build it I know where everything will go even down to signals lol! Although I may have to do it in N gauge, or T! Just waiting until there is an N pendolino, I've never been sure if I have the patience for N, can't imagine weathering a wagon in N gauge never mind a loco! My hobbies: Golf, Baking and trains (honest!) Anyway I hope you enjoyed reading a little bit about me and feel free to add me as a friend.
As you can see I am admin, don't worry I don't bite so if you have any troubles then please let me or a mod know and we'll see what we can do. We are much nicer than Mod6 of rmweb! Tom |

About Me
Sorry about the name, it's the same as my youtube account which I created when I got back into the hobby; hence the Hornby part! A midlands kid soon to be taken away to Cornwall! I have an interest mainly in Steam (which coincidently is also Swifty's main interest) and I'm trying to see as many railtours and preserved railways in the midlands before I move in Christmas (hopefully) . When I'm visiting Cornwall, I try to get some shots of trains on the mainline when possible and maybe visits to the Bodmin and Wenford railway. I model in 00 gauge and the layout is on hold until I move, apart from a small test loop. However, i am in the process of building a shunting layout that I have taken to one exhibition so far. I use DCC to control my locos which can be rewarding and sometimes frustrating. Train spotting is difficult where I live now as the nearest mainline is 30 minutes away (the ECML) but in Cornwall it's just across the valley and I can see it from inside the house! If you're still reading now, my profile picture is K1 62005 and B1 61264 pulling into Goathland on the NYMR. |

About Me
Hi, I'm theintercityhst! I'm a 13 year old diesel fanatic from Liverpool! I'm currently building a mixed era 00 gauge model railway, and i mostly collect older and collectable locos, (tho Swifty may deny that!) particularly Triang-Hornby or Lima, but i do like my modern stuff as well! when it comes to railways, nothing in my oppinion beats a 37 and a 47! although i do like other locos at well , like the class 20,25,33,35,50,55,57,60 etc, so all the propper locos, no 66s! I do like the odd kettle, particularly the Duchess class and the A4, and electric wise i like the 86s/87s and the 90s. I like my units too, like the 142, 150 and 156, having grown up around them, seeing them every weekend, as well as the merseyrail 507s and 508s! At some point in the future (and i do emphesise that!) i hope to either model and EWS depot based on the WCML, or model Edge Hill station, in roughly 2003/2004.If you have noticed, yes, i am a moderator, but don't worry, I'll be nicer than Mod 6! if you would like, I've included a link to my youtube channel here: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheIntercityhst |
