Sorry about the name, it's the same as my youtube account which I created when I got back into the hobby; hence the Hornby part! A midlands kid soon to be taken away to Cornwall! I have an interest mainly in Steam (which coincidently is also Swifty's main interest) and I'm trying to see as many railtours and preserved railways in the midlands before I move in Christmas (hopefully) . When I'm visiting Cornwall, I try to get some shots of trains on the mainline when possible and maybe visits to the Bodmin and Wenford railway. I model in 00 gauge and the layout is on hold until I move, apart from a small test loop. However, i am in the process of building a shunting layout that I have taken to one exhibition so far. I use DCC to control my locos which can be rewarding and sometimes frustrating. Train spotting is difficult where I live now as the nearest mainline is 30 minutes away (the ECML) but in Cornwall it's just across the valley and I can see it from inside the house!
